I don’t think my homosexual aversion has anything to do with early training. I was pregnant with my second child when someone told me there was such a thing as homosexuality, and it was several months later when I realized that weren’t just kidding.

I couldn’t get everything in one box and it would have taken several boxes to actually cover everything. He has really done a great job of being president. The MAGAts harp on prices being higher. Yup, always heading that direction, it’s called inflation. But, the president can only do anything about that if we regulate capitalism, the idea of which makes Republicans ( real ones, not MAGAts) go into shock.

While employers squeeze workers and their unions for cuts to health care and other benefits, the CEOs of major corporations now make nearly 400 times more than their average employees, the largest employer-worker gap in our history. While 60 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck– with three multi-billionaires owning more wealth than the bottom half.

If you are wondering why we continue to pay, by far, the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs, you should know that Pfizer has increased its profits by 42 percent so far this year to $26.4 billion.

Gasoline? Profits of Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP and Shell skyrocketed by 169 percent so far this year to $125 billion. They are spending over $73 billion not to reduce gas prices at the pump but to buy back their own stock and increase dividends to their wealthy stockholders.

Groceries? Global food prices skyrocketed by over 33 percent last year and are expected to go up another 23 percent this year. Billionaires in the global food and agri-business industry became $382 billion richer during the pandemic.

Covid actually did cause problems that could be used as an excuse to raise prices. Once those prices were raised, they aren’t coming down unless people stop buying and there is a glut of product that has to be addressed by lowing them. Since people are going to buy groceries, meds and gas as long as they possibly can, the rich will get richer while the middle class gives up everything but these necessities.

Actually, it might be good for Biden to speak calmly and coherently while there is muted irrational ranting in the background.

This is an old list. There are other things that could be added, but this is enough to prove you wrong.

Here are 23 of Joe Biden’s greatest accomplishments as president of the United States.1. Passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package to increase investment in the national network of bridges and roads, airports, public transport and national broadband internet, as well as waterways and energy systems.2. Helped get more than 500 million life-saving COVID-19 vaccinations in the arms of Americans through the American Rescue Plan.3. Stopped a 30-year streak of federal inaction on gun violence by signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that created enhanced background checks, closed the “boyfriend” loophole and provided funds for youth mental health.4. Made a $369 billion investment in climate change, the largest in American history, through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.5. Ended the longest war in American history by pulling the troops out of Afghanistan.6. Provided $10,000 to $20,000 in college debt relief to Americans with loans who make under $125,000 a year.7. Cut child poverty in half through the American Rescue Plan.8. Capped prescription drug prices at $2,000 per year for seniors on Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act.9. Passed the COVID-19 relief deal that provided payments of up to $1,400 to many struggling U.S. citizens while supporting renters and increasing unemployment benefits.10. Achieved historically low unemployment rates after the pandemic caused them to skyrocket.11. Imposed a 15% minimum corporate tax on some of the largest corporations in the country, ensuring that they pay their fair share, as part of the historic Inflation Reduction Act.

The rules are that the mikes are turned off when your time is up. How that keeps screaming from being picked up by the other person’s mike is questionable, possibly sound proof booths? There will be no audience, so no audience interruptions, which was a standard procedure until MAGAts got involved. It wasn’t necessary to ban an audience because civilized behavior was observed by all those in attendance. Since they can’t bar those who have no concept of civilized behavior, they are barring everyone. And, the networks that will be filming are CNN and ABC. This doesn’t prohibit other networks from picking up the feed and reporting on it. All in all, this sounds like an actual debate worth watching. They were becoming childishly unprofessional before Trump was involved and he has turned them into a spectacle that should have been appalling and embarrassing to any American adult watching.

It would be handy to be born with an expiration date stamped on the bottom of your foot. I wonder if the roses I just planted will be grown soon enough for me to enjoy them. Men in my family die pretty young, but I have aunts in Sweden who were delivering babies into their 90’s and one who moved to Oregon and died at 94 because she broke her hip when she fell out of a tree when she was harvesting apples.

Actually, I think of them both ways, 1}people I know and like and 2} the whole bunch, who make me nervous. I think I’m actually just a prude because a lot of stuff heterosexual couples do makes me gag too.

That’s why integration in cities has produced more actual friendships, marriages, etc. I have rural relatives who rarely interact with Black people, and when they do, it is not on an equal basis, but as employees. My sister in law was in this situation and attended a conference where there were Black attendees. Her reaction was that she thought the only educated Blacks were actors on TV, and she was kinda blown away by the intelligence of the ones she met.
