   Really? So when you pay your local property taxes, and some goes to the county, and some to the hospital, to the port, to the city, to the community college and then some of it goes to the local SCHOOL district you can direct to which CHILD the money should be spent?

   Next it will be I drive on THESE roads.

   And I want my armed forces to be ready to defend against THESE countries.

   Your road example is called a toll road. Love to see your local county install some gates on your primary, secondary and local roads in order to collect fees for actual usage!

   2) Joe was working in a bipartisan way to save SS. “Biden was one of 88 senators who voted for a bipartisan bill in 1983 to tax up to 50% of Social Security for beneficiaries with income above a certain threshold. That vote came at a time when the Social Security trust fund for retirement benefits was running out of money.”

    Based upon that logic, each person will get to decide which street gets repaved, which sewers are installed, whether the Army gets tanks or AF gets jets.

    The public taxes are for public schools. If a parent wants to educate their child at home or in a private, secular or religious school, they have that CHOICE. But the public funds don’t flow from the public school.
