Unfortunately, “Fear of the Other” is part of the human condition. Unless we can change the genome, we will always knee-jerk to the “different = bad” scenario.
When I was 15, I did a stupid thing, I shoplifted something on a dare. I got caught. My brother (4 yrs older) came and got me off, and didn’t tell our parents. Now I am 58. and he STILL sees me as a little thief, even though I never did anything like that again. I grew up. So, yeah, she made a horrible mistake, several in fact, dozens of years ago. Should we continue to judge her for the past? What about you? What did YOU do when you were young?
Luann has to be adopted. She has reddish/orange hair. Both her parents and brother have black hair. I understand recessives, but this should be biologically impossible. Just saying.
