Very cute Chez – as long as Oliver isn’t frightened! Mechanic found the mouse nest in my car, but not the dead mouse. Could be a 4 hour appointment today removing the blower and possibly the dash… Hundreds for a dead mouse, and how do I keep it from recurring? No poison bait or sticky traps, catch and release baited with peanut butter will just encourage more…
Mechanic did a quick check and found the nest but not the mouse. Couldn’t stay today as I had Fred in the car for his PT. Tomorrow’s appointment is possibly 4 or more hours. Blower and dash may have to be removed. Time to kill eating reading and walking, then repeat.
Better ask Snow and his family over for the feast. Yesterday at the Hatchery a visitor mentioned he had seen a pretty snake outside. Naturally, I asked to see it and surprised him by picking it up for a snuggle. Gopher snakes are known for their bluff strikes, but this one bit me on the nose and the guy really freaked out. I explained they are non venomous and I was fine. Cranky snake! I let it go after a few minutes.. And used a little anti biotic was on my nose. Ha, that was the good part of the day. The bad part, however, is that there is something dead somewhere in my car that I believe is around the air conditioning duct that I can not get to. Hoping it’s not an expensive fix. It needs to be found, removed and the smell completely gone before I can leave my car at any trailhead. Bears have a nose about a thousand times stronger than ours and will destroy my car if there is even the slightest lingering odor.
I hate having dirty dishes in the sink but it takes forever for the hot water to get into the kitchen. I fill at least 3 large pitchers and water the plants on my front porch before it gets warm, or sometimes just wash a few in the bathroom which is right next to the hot water heater.
My 2020 Honda CRV has waaaay too many bells and whistles. I absolutely hate the whole dash and music set up, and new cars don’t even come with CD players! It’s reliable, perfect size for me and will last a long time, but…
