Here in SoCal since about 2000, the once very common black widow spider is being replaced (i.e. preyed upon) by a related, invasive species, the brown widow spider. It has the same general shape and “patent leather”-appearing exoskeleton, but is a mottled brown with a large, orange hourglass on its back.

Let’s hope he threw up all over the other boys who egged him on!

On one of the episodes of “Too Cute” featured a recently rescued cat and her litter of black and white kittens … to which was added a rescued orphaned baby skunk. Mama cat welcomed it to the “dinner table”, and it grew up alongside the kittens, more than living up to the series title. (When I Googled “too cute rescue kitten and skunk”, I found several YouTube clips—well worth watching.)

It’s in the laundry today—his mom doesn’t let him wear yesterday’s dirty shirt.

Reality check for the college protesters—Netanyahu is the ONLY one who can stop the war against Hamas … and he’s not listening to you. And even if he were, he doesn’t care about your opinions or feelings.

How a cat sees it—plaything … then snack (crunch!)

Works like that for women too—something about the merging of the waistline with the width of the chest and hips—the “hourglass” become a cylinder … sigh.

Maybe he just took his annual bath. Or maybe the ’hatmobile" has a built-in fly repellant system.

Actually, I think boney meant “cue” as in “cue an actor’s entrance”. “Que” is French for “what”, and “queue” means a line of things waiting to be processed (think checkout lines at the market)

In my 40s & 50s I worked graveyard shift, which was great because I’m a night person. But my diurnal rhythm would bottom out about 5 am, so I would walk for an hour between 5 and 6—safe enough on the military base where I worked (the security patrol got to know me). Some of the best times was when sunrise happened during my walk—sometimes I had to do the last westward mile walking backwards so I could look at all the glorious colors behind me.
