   So glad to hear you’re doing well again! It’s terrible to be sick, but when you’re all sick, that’s the worst. Someone’s got to be the caregiver still and who wants to do that when everyone just wants to roll up in the covers and recuperate?

   When I was two, we drove across the US to visit relatives. My uncle had just bought a brand new car, brought it home and offered my mother and I the first ride in it. She happily accepted. I was never, and have never since been a carsick rider, but halfway through that ride, I vomited all over the front seat of his brand new car. I mean everywhere! And I still remember it clearly because it was so very traumatic from the POV of getting yelled at and everything that came after. Turns out, I was coming down with the measles, but we didn’t know that at the time. Nothing since then has come close to being as disgusting. Except when I was a patient tech. Mucous. I can’t stand that. :)

   I love the story of your aunt and the angels! And while you can never unsee what happened, it’s a reinforcement of those angels and the things we have no explanation for. And I’m glad your aunt recovered.

   When I was a child, I grew up in a rural area and saw the northern lights often. As much as I want to see them now, it’s okay that I’m not though very frustrating. I got up last night around three and looked out all of the windows and didn’t see anything at all. Still overcast here and frankly, it was 38 degrees out. I wasn’t going out in my jammies. There will be other times.

   First of all, I’m so glad you’re not dead!! That could have ended so badly if not for that bush so thank the bush again today for all of us! And just keep taking it slowly today. No, we didn’t see them either. In the ten years we’ve been in a ‘dark sky’ area, there’s been one time we’ve seen any meteorological event thanks to the fact that with every one, the cloud cover rolls in about an hour before hand. I was so excited when we move here because I thought, foolishly, that we’d be able to see so many things! Nothing! Nope…nothing. And then the storms started around 3am, lightning, thunder, heavy rains and they just slowed around 7:30am here.

   Believe it or not, we’ve had ground shaking earthquakes here in Michigan. I’ll take the storms any day!

   When Ernie Harwell was still calling the Tigers, we’d watch the game but listen on the radio. We turned the sound back up when he came back after Ilitch bought the team and put him back in the broadcast booth for TV. Still miss those days. On another note, do you have a mobile hotspot on your phone? Wifi on your TV? Just curious. IF I have power, we run the TV with one of our phone’s hotspots until the internet comes back on. Just curious.

   That system was huge! They didn’t mention that far down in Ohio though, so I didn’t know. Most of it missed us (for a change) which was rather shocking. What did you end up with? Everything okay?

   I’m close to Flint, but the cell was huge and covered that whole corner at the bottom area of Lake Michigan so four states. I guess Ohio got hit too. I didn’t realize because where I’m at, they didn’t mention it. Sorry. I forgot to mention.

    I am sad to report that no, nothing has happened at this time, unfortunately. It seems the wheels of justice turn ever so slowly, no matter where that justice is trying to be found. :/
