Maybe, but that’s the squash we had growing up, and I never came to like it. No doubt it can be cooked in more interesting ways, but it’s that childhood association that will be hard to lose.
It’s the same with beets. We only had the canned variety. They’re not exactly disgusting, but they are in the category of foods I will never choose and which I will avoid when I can.
