Well, gosh darn, after erasing the perps over the past week, and going in excruciating slow detail over capturing Sweetie Pie, suddenly we found out some one (????) picked them up and all of a sudden it’s over? Don’t blink on this strip!!!

Thanks all! That must have been just before I started reading DT this time round. I kinda liked the story, but it was rather scattered, with the comic con story busting in here and there. I did enjoy seeing the Asp again; boy that was a really long time preview of the LOA arc!

Thanks, Gweedo. Well that lets me out. I’m up at 0400 and asleep by 1900. That’s my new “retired” hours. Have no idea why, but after many years of retirement I’m back to my working hours sleeping pattern (when I had to be at the hospital by 0600.) It also helps if you are owned by a cat that thinks 0400 is Food O’clock!

Super Hen? I’ve looked but couldn’t find anything on Google. Sounds like a funny B.O. Story!

I keep forgetting some people read the strip the night before. What time zone is DT published in? I’m in S.E. Wisconsin, so want to know if it’s worth while waiting up a bit to read it; although I’ve quite the habit of getting up, drinking my coffee and reading my strips…

Thank you all for your support and suggestions for my upcoming knee surgery. They are a great help! and all the prayers are soooo appreciated:)A lot of them confirmed what I was already thinking, and a few, like getting an adjustable bed, helped me make a decision. I had been going back and forth in my mind, but you are right – at (mumble mumble) years old, it is a smart long time move to have an adjustable bed. Now to find one! I think I will opt for a local place so I can go and actually see the beds; luckily there are a couple near me.I also have arranged to have home care, and ordered some things, like a nifty little device that will help me pull on my socks! I will have these all in place and practiced by July 31.(((((hugs))))))))) and thanks again to all!

Well, folks it’s time to bite the bullet. I’ve been putting off Total Right Knee surgery since Covid time, to the point where it has badly affected my gait and my back is beginning to have problems. I’m not looking forward to it; had the left knee done in 2008. But I’m now (mumble mumble) years older, live alone and have minimal support. So I’m trying to get my ducks in a row and would appreciate some advice. So far, I’ve arranged with a care company to come and assist for the first two weeks home. But here are the questions?Should I get a hospital bed? I’m having trouble turning over and moving in bed now, I can’t imagine how it will be with a CPM device in bed with me. (I have an adult twin bed) I’m thinking of replacing my bed permanently, with an adjustable mattress and maybe a trapeze in it. But will it be worth it for a couple of weeks? I am 79, so it will probably be my last bed purchase. What else am I missing? Let’s put our 2000 years experience together and figure this out. The surgery is scheduled for July 31. Bring it on, wise ones!
