Excellent day, excellent guide in Bob…had a great knowledge of the area, knew a lot of details books don’t put miss him, when it’s quiet. He and Bill surely could bring out the funny stories of siblings growing up,,,rest in peace, Bob
Years ago, I was a teen-ager at the time, I had a dog with the same issues. She would flop about on the floor for anything form 3 minutes to about 6 minutes. Her vet “gave” me some pills and they worked for her. That was when I was still in high school, so don’t ask what he gave me,,,but it worked !!!! Dog was a half-bred,,,English Spaniel and "traveling salesman…er,,,salesdog..
My dad made dandelion wine most years…it was pretty good, especially when I was under 21,,,and it’s just as good now that I am retired…..not saying any more on it !!!! hee-hee-hee
They make for great fried spuds…chop or slice them up,,,use a bit of Crisco on your frying pan and slowly brown up the slices,,turning fairly frequently…use you fave oil and a spatula…slow and easy !!!! Oh yes, salt and pepper according to taste…I serve with a cruet of vinegar to drizzle on the nicely browned and tasty fried spuds…Good Luck…
So very sorry to read about Bucky, these pets become our “new” kids as we age and our kids have older generation need our “KIDS”, too !!! Bucky is in a better, pain-free place now. He was lucky he had a caring family to make hard decisions in his best interests. Know he is now pain-free and in a better place.
We have one of those dogs next door,,,beautiful, friendly, but a bit noisy. They DO like to bark a lot, but understand that is a normal feature of the breed. She is really a neighborhood “watch dog”.. so light tan she looks white from a distance. After the first couple of days, do not notice her barking,,guess I’m used to it as she is barking occasionally,,,I just have her tuned out, I guess.
Delighted you could “temporarily” adopt her. And I, too, enjoy watching an Arab race across the pasture….pure beauty in action…and their enjoyment at being able to raced across the field..
Sometimes, it’s impossible to find just the right word for the situation…..
