Actually, I wasn’t a big fan of the Dead. However, the song was played a lot on the “underground” radio stations of the time. It even was played on Armed Forces Radio when I was stationed in Germany. But that line from “Truckin’” resonated with me. I heard it on a “Classic” Rock station in the Washington, D.C. area shortly after I turned 30. I thought at the time, “Boy, ain’t that the truth.” The 70 year old me looks back and says, “You ain’t seen nothing, yet, kid.” :D
