I don’t ever use DIY checkouts for two reasons: 1) I don’t work there. 2) I had a friend do a checkout, was leaving the store’s self-checkout area, and was accosted by one of the store employees saying “You didn’t pay for the water", and NOT politely. She showed the receipt, and not even a “Sorry”. I told her my next call would have been to Employment and Immigration to check everyone working there to ensure they all had WORK visas, and landed status. With no warning to them. When they get these calls they just usher out the customers and lock the doors for as long as required. And pray you don’t have ONE person fail the requirements. Then they go over you with a fine tooth combs fine tooth comb.
