   I am flabbergasted that the Count hasn’t weighed in on this yet. Talk about opening a can of worms. I think it is time for this strip to move forward in time, sorta like Funky Winkerbean did years ago. Let’s see what kind of storylines can be covered 6 – 10 years down the road.

   I’ve lived in Texas my entire 74 years on earth. 35 years in a public school classroom, ended my career in Allen at AHS. We had 3 SROs on duty at all times. Since I retired they have now armed X number of teachers on campus. The exact number and who they are is not public. A year or so before I got there they had bomb scare issues and used metal detectors. That was all gone before my time. With some 5,000 kids in the halls of the biggest school in Texas, I think that they probably did the right thing. Doesn’t make it any more palatable, but at least it might serve as a deterrent.

    How is BATUBS pronounced? B A Tub? Bat Tubs? Could be used in the old Batman series. Same Bat Tub, same Bat Tub channel. Bat UBS, as in U BS too much? BAT UBS might be a great fertilizer. There is a gardening product called Rocket Fuel, which is primarily Bat manure. I remember the old linguistic joke: A B C D Goldfish? L M N O goldfish. O S A R B, C M swimmin’? Before you react, think about how so many people great each other these days: SUP? Maybe that is what this is about. Also, how many people these days really have a brand, other than the former guy President? Elon Musk, which sounds like a men’s cologne, rebranded his multi-billion dollar purchase to “X”, which means incorrect on a test paper.
