I disagree. Cats are much less adaptable to change than dogs. I just had first hand experience. My ex went to visit the daughter and I came over to tend to cats and plants while I had her dogs at my house. Cats disappeared in the house and would not come out even though they are familiar with me. Dogs were fine. I am a cat owner of long standing.
