   My cousin has a giant orange and black anaconda soft toy, but to the best of my knowledge none of their or my cats have ever played with it. It seems like a natural!

   piwismom will be in my prayers, and Medicine Buddha intentions tonight. Back in Sept. 2022, she said she was going to post about what had been going on with her on 9/2. On 9/3 she thanked everyone who had responded, only the 9/2 post was deleted. I don’t think I ever saw it. I’m concerned whether she has family or friends who are right there with her, or is in care where she could ask somebody to post here for her. I know we are all sending her Mega-Orb love magic.

   In The Season of the Witch, James Herlihy’s last book, the hippies started sending everybody “Secret Zaps” and then just “Zaps”, to uplift depressed or sick people. I imagine the Mega-Orb is doing that now for her.

   I’ll look up my dad’s notes about his knee replacement. It was about 30 years ago and all I remember is he eventually had both knees done, he was fine, and he said for physical therapy swimming pool exercises were the best. GOOD LUCK!!!

   I hope you find out if something did happen. But who knows what it is with cats! Foxy shies away from me if I have a napkin or a wet wipe in my hand, because I clean her rear with them. You’re doing the best thing, letting them know you’re still you and love them, whether or not you have a cane.

   Those were the three songs she kept coming back to. She sang “Eat It” around the house and in the car. She adored Weird Al ever since I got her into him via Dr. Demento back in the mid-70s.

   Denny, in the first place you definitely deserve sympathy and warm thoughts. You deserve all the love and caring the Mega-Orb is sending out to you. Never doubt it for an instant.

   One of my excellent counselors told me it is rarely if ever one person’s responsibility or “fault” when things go wrong between people. Everyone involved shares some of the problem. Whoever this young lady is, she’s responsible for her decision. You are seeking therapy, but it sounds like she also needs it.

   You are not the first person I’ve known in the last few years who’s had a family member (most often), friend or partner disconnect. They may give all sorts of reasons, and change those reasons over time. There is nothing like that pain.

   Whatever you said or did, or neglected to say or do, or failed to pick up on, this was her decision. This will sound awful, but unfortunately the best thing you can do for her is respect it, even though it tears you up inside. And in my experience, don’t put a lot of energy into trying to earn your way back. It just ends up in more self-blame. I think, yes, go to counseling, work on your own issues whatever they may be, but do it for you , for your own life and future.

   We have missed you here. You are loved and valued always.
