This case is based on whether Trump thought he was paying to violate election campaign funding laws/corporate records (which, although a misdemeanor under NY state law has never been used in NY in a federal election case, much less calling it a felony). For Stormy, this should have been one simple yes or no question, but the prosecutor wanted to embarrass and impugn Trump’s character by being a voyeur in Trump’s bedroom (a mental image no one needs). My hope is the NY jury finds him not guilty, or else appeals on a guilty verdict will push this salacious part of the Trump circus into 2025 and the media will, of course, focus on this Trump story over the legitimate actions against him.

The only positive for the nation after Trump wins in November (as history tells us he will) is at least the House will have a Democrat majority as a buffer, but the judiciary will be even more extreme far right by 2028 as the Senate goes to 50/50.

Varvel takes a lot of shots at college grads. Although he attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, there’s never a mention that he graduated – he’s not listed as a Herron School of Art and Design alumni. Could all this rancor be sour grades?

It’s simple to fix. First, remove the sanctions that Trump put on Venezuela that caused the recent surge – okay, Biden did that. Next, get the Latin American countries to completely change their economies and become less state directed and reward larger free enterprise solutions. Third, since low-cost manufacturing (the China miracle) is no longer the route to prosperity, figure out a jobs solutions that provide good wages for the less educated that hasn’t been created yet …wait a minute…maybe it’s not simple.

Oh please. There are, at times, hundreds of thousands of people that experience temporary homelessness. The reason it is temporary is they find a way to solve this problem and society should spend the money to help them. There is also a core of 150,000+ hardcore homeless that refuse free mental health care, free drug counseling and a free place to sleep if it has rules. This group doesn’t want their “problem” solved.

It is not true that the DNC has asked the court for a gag order on Biden.(line shamelessly borrowed from The Daily Show)

Hey kids, wanna become famous? Have your name and face on national TV news and cable news channels for weeks! Do a school shooting. We in the media love school shootings because it gets us more viewers which mean more ad dollars, so we highlight them to death (clever, huh). Sure, if we did not mention them and left the reporting to boring old newspapers and local stations, there might be fewer ones, but we’re in the entertainment business and school shootings are great entertainment!

DeJoy took over when the post office was months away from insolvency. He closed poorly performing sorting centers and restructured the manpower intensive system in to hub and spoke, he got the rule stopped that the USPS retirement health plan be completely prefunded – unlike any other federal agency – that was causing most of the red ink, he’s electrifying the mail vehicles. Yes, getting the new centers coordinated is causing delays, but hopefully that’s temporary. USPS is at the breakeven point on finances. I was worried when Trump appointed him, but unlike the preceding postmasters that were cowed by Congress and the Postal Union, DeJoy is working to solve the problems and having some success. And no, children, DeJoy has not tried to influence voting by mail as much as my fellow Democrats sometimes rant.
Thank you, that was the intent.
