Amen, brother! I grew up in the deep south and you speak the truth. I remember hearing stories of how much my grandfather and everyone in his small Mississippi town despised FDR and call him and Eleanor “ni**er lovers”. Every time someone mentioned FDR’s name, he would spit and throw his hat on the ground.

The ratio of deaths is not significant. Most deaths are from collisions. As far as self-acceleration, that has been a big problem in ICE vehicles. Toyota had several recalls for that issue.

I guess you missed all the recalls of ICE vehicles due to spontaneously bursting into flames. I had two vehicles recalled for that; a 1995 F150 and a 1999 F53 chassis-based motor home. ICE vehicles can catch fire due to electrical shorts, and when they do they have large quantities of flammable liquid that can involve everything around them. Before you say that it is rare, bear in mind that the problem you describe is also rare. By “vehicle”, I am referring to automobiles, not the cheap batteries often reported in hover boards and electric bikes.

ICE cars catch fire also. In fact, hundreds of people die every year in the US due to fires in gasoline powered vehicles. You are, after all, driving around with tens of gallons of explosively flammable fluid. Internet searches turned up the fact that almost all EV battery fires are the result of an accident, and deaths were more the result of the crash than the fire afterwards. Toxic fumes? If you think internal combustion engines are free of toxic fumes, try leaving the engine running with the garage door closed for a while.

Those regulations have saved countless lives, and imports are subject to the same requirements. American automobile companies have lost market share due to their commitment to short term profit over long term quality.

I have several gay friends. I admit there is a sense of revulsion thinking of what goes on behind their closed doors, but then most people would experience a sense of revulsion thinking of me and my 75-year-old wife in the bedroom. I just treat them as the good human beings they are and enjoy their sense of humor.

Not so much bad news for Hamas, just bad news for the innocent men, women and children that will die when their apartment complex is leveled. From your standpoint, I understand that, if there is a chance that there is one Hamas terrorist underneath the debris, the deaths of dozens of innocent civilians is justified. After all, to you they aren’t human beings.

He only stopped the shipment of 2000 pound bombs. In WWII these were called “blockbusters” because they could flatten an entire city block in one blow. Weapons like these have no place in urban warfare.

Calling Palestinians “Hamas” does not change who they are or what they do. “Palestinian” does not equal “Hamas". I will not defend Hamas; they are filthy murdering savages. However, using your rationalization that innocents die in war as cover for reckless and massive bombing of apartments, hospitals and schools is turning a blind eye to war crimes.

The problem with AI, IMO, is that it doesn’t create so much as it steals intellectual property. Its output is constructed by analyzing existing work and emulating it.
