   Yes, I remember that one now – the one I was thinking of was one about Ned Kelly, whose band of bushrangers wore armour home-made of 6mm-thick iron plow mouldboards, which was very successful – even the military thought so – until the cops got better at shooting at the spaces between the plates.

   Oddly, but probably predictably, the only song about Kelly I can find online is the one written and sung by Johnny Cash (!) of all people

   If I care only for myself, what does that make me?

   And if I don’t like what’s going on, when, exactly, will I start making it too hard for the malefactors to continue, if not now?

    You’re right of course. I think there was only 1, perhaps 2, of his that were set to music and sung. I was sure Patterson had written “How MacDougal Topped the Score”, and could hardly believe it when I read that it was Spencer.
