Reminded me of a MIL story. Her and my FIL were helping someone move. They were at it all day. When they got home she collapsed in a chair. My wife asked her if it was rough. She answered “Nothing was ready. It would be just like we woke up this morning and said Let’s move today.”
This is us. My Bride is packed and ready to leave at least two days before D-Day. I might start the day before but it’s usually the morning of. Over the years I have learned two things. No one comes home and wishes they had packed more clothes. Second, wherever you go nobody there is traveling to your home city to buy their necessities.
Two or three change of clothes for the time being. Make laundry arrangements in situ, so to speak.
