Quid Pro Joe’s millionaire and billionaire friends won’t feel a thing. They’ll hire lobbyists and highly paid tax accountants and CPAs who will make sure that they are protected from the sting that will be imposed on the average American who cannot pay for such high-priced representation.
BZZZZZZZZT! Trump’s lawyers objected to allowing Daniels to testify. They argued that her testimony would not be germane to the phony charges on which the kangaroo trial is based, and that her testimony would be salacious and prejudicial. They were right, but the judge allowed her to testify, then remarked at the end of her performance that perhaps she should not have been on the witness list and that the jury should ignore her testimony. Of course, he also denied the motion for a mistrial. Jonathon Turley and other commentators have remarked that there numerous bases for reversible error in the burlesque show that was staged yesterday, in the conduct of the prosecution, and in the judge’s judgement and management of the show trial.
Let’s hope the Grim Reaper pays a long visit to DC … soon … cleaning out the Executive and Legislative branches.
