Is this something to do with the death penalty? I’m not certain what’s going on here but I think it’s too so with being offered a choice of lethal injection versus firing squad?
I f the cost of keeping a known killer on death row or incarcerated for life cost tax payers $90,000.00 per year does not include the state cost in appeals for said inmate. nor added cost for certain medical needs. I worked in a super-max, It is not worth the cost for some of these inmates.
It’s getting impossible for states like Utah to get the injection drugs they want, because the drug companies do not want to be tainted by association with the barbaric practice of state-sponsored death. So they refuse to sell drugs to prison hospitals in death-penalty states. Gun companies, though? They’ll brag about it in their advertisements. They’re all about killing people.
One bullet to the back of the head. Works every time and is instantly fatal. And do it in public or on a live TV feed. No more hiding capital punishment as if it were shameful.

Sounds like you’re looking to exact revenge rather than justice.

It has always amazed me that states mandate folks on death row be placed on “suicide watch”, if it’s suspected they may try to do it themselves.

I can remember plenty of cases where innocent koalas were executed as BEARS.
