Two republicans sit at tables and are collecting money. One uses that hashtag "NeverTrump." The other has the hashtag "NotForMonthsTrump." Republican: Mine is a hedge fund.
Jerry Springer had it right in his latest podcast, “Tunes, Tales & Tomfoolery”—ever since President Reagan said that we should not be looking for government to solve our problems and that “government IS the problem”, there has been this backlash against government, especially the Federal Government and now that at least one entire generation has grown up with that belief, the “chickens have come home to roost” and that is where this current bunch of presidential candidates for both the GOP and the “Democrats”, who later embraced that anti-governmental tone in the early-1990s, is coming from.Springer then goes on to say that both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are products of this mantra of “government IS the problem” and that the only fresh voice in this debate and campaign seems to be Bernie Sanders and that perhaps we should listen because in the next 10-15 years, what Sanders describes may be America by that time, regardless of who gets into office next year, because we may follow the rest of the world in that trend.Springer also added that to keep herself popular with the folks who tend to vote for “Democrats”, Clinton has changed her message somewhat to keep them from looking toward Sanders and to a lesser extent, so has Trump as he looks beyond the convention in Cleveland toward the November elections. And in the end, all this pandering being done by the extremes in both parties that have a duopoly on political power in the United States may wind up embracing each of their views to continue running (or ruining, but those are my words) this country together and because of that, we may see more “Social” programs out there like a truly universal health care system that is even more universal than the “Affordable” Care Act or perhaps a free college education—even though I agree with Mike Rowe on this one that we really can not be promoting a free college education without also promoting the trades because college is NOT for everyone.
There’s an old cartoon I’ve always liked: a politician is giving a news conference: “I’ve decided to drop out of the race and give my support to my worst enemy.”
Some of the veterans living in the streets are doing so because the veterans themselves are screwed up — a product of going to war.
If anyone were serious about helping veterans, the first thing they would do is to move the veterans care budget into the military budget. This would have the effect of treating it as a cost of war rather than some sort of welfare.
And, to address your other point, if you actually want fewer illegals, prosecute those who hire them. Of course, if you don’t want to address the problem at all, continue to bitch about the borders and ‘free stuff’.

The little quote at the bottom says how Trump will pay for the wall! Borrow from Mexico and declare bankruptcy!
