Toles has a problem with Americans, not their leadership. The GOP is never, NEVER, as far to the right as its base is. The base is anti-abortion, anti-bailout, anti-gay marriage (30 states have had votes on the issue, and the issue has lost every time), etc…Truth be told, the majority of Americans hold to those positions, not just the GOP base.
