They now have to begin fundraising before they unpack, and may be late at that.

Before Gingrich, fund raising was an annoying interruption in legislative activities.

Newt changed all that.Since Newt, legislative activities seldom interrupt fund raising.

I worked in the agriculture business for 10 years…(Blueberries)….Pesticides aren’t the problem…Disease is the problem…Pesticides breakdown and fade away in two days in sunlight…Disease can wipe out a crop…A genetically engineered tomato is still just a tomato…..Chomp on it at will….

This reminds me of a line from the musical Little Me,… the Bank President says: " Send him in. I haven’t had a good grovel and beg in weeks ! "

Yes, that is one aspect of how the country has been running. Then there are those congressmen who just receive an email listing the do and don’t for whatever the cooperation is dictating. And many other controlling aspects of so-called ‘public servants’. On the other side, actual honest dedicated members of congress who do represent constituents; but are becoming few and far between.

And…the Groveling Pillow is awarded to…wait for it… Gov. Chris Christie the Lackie in Waiting !!

I don’t like Ted Cruz but I have to give him a full hand ( not a one finger ) salute for last night’s performance. He gets:A for guts in giving that speech.A- for not kissing a$$B for sticking to his own brand of conservatism and finally D for stagecraft. If he’d kept his mouth shut ( and his aide’s mouths shut ) leading up to his speech, thereby building the suspense and speculation, he’d have stolen the show. But no, stupidity got in the way and by leaking his refusal to anoint King Trump as the new Republican Messiah, he allowed Rump Trump to come in and upstage him and allowed Trump’s minions to salt the audience.

Congressor sounds less clunky than “Congress person.” Or Congresswoman since we do have two genders..~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It also rhymes with “Transgressor” which seems somehow apropos.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, given the number of identifiable genders out there, maybe best to stick to congress person. Although, son on the end of per is masculine. How about “congress people”? That would take in all the staffers who actually run the show.
