Puck: The Women of the building have gone down into the basement, where cats are not allowed... But we know a guy. Ceiling Woman: I think the box is over here! Woman: I'll be right there! Hi, honey! How goes fixing the washer? Man: Hey! Pretty good! I'm pretty sure it's the wiring in the wall. It's definitely the outlet. Toddler: Dad! Elvis: Son, I'm your dad now. You just forget all about 'ol what's-his-beard. Woman: Mind taking a break to watch the kids? We're seeing if the house had any horrible tragedies! Man: Oh, that's cheerful. Woman: Find anything? Ceiling Woman: I did. This house was built in 1898, but this is a photo when one of the additions was built in 1913. Read the back. Woman: "Three days before Matilda went missing." Did this little girl disappear? Ahh! Lupin! ...Man, this cat just turns up everywhere! Lupin: Ma'am? Ceiling Woman: Our cat Figaro is like that.

This is probably the least-creepy version of “I’m your dad now…” that I’ve ever heard. Some things sound significantly less intimidating coming from a cat.

Ms. Dunn, I am very happy for you the way things seem to be working out for you, the man, and the intrepid reporters of BCN. Congratulations on being syndicated and the book! I hope you get picked up by many newspapers.
Your strip evokes the same sense of wonder and imagination that Calvin and Hobbes did, without being the least bit derivative. It is really wonderful to see someone’s dreams coming true. Good luck to you and your family.

Tillie investigating Puck’s mug, “We know a guy”, “What’s his beard” and if the man turned around, would he think that thing that the robber mice are moving behind him looked familiar?And, of course, Lupin sneaking into and through the basement is awesome. How can so much be packed into one strip?
