Tommy can’t see Elvis is a cat? Perhaps he has never met a Siamese before. Since he is outside, he might have met a “mailman”, though. Assuming such things exist.

Tommy reminds me of Ray from the TV show “”. Has no business being in the company of the others around him, but somehow they wouldn’t be complete without him.

I really enjoy how funny the cartoonist manages to make real cat behavior without anthropomorphizing it too much. We have a big, orange neighborhood bozo who likes to come by from time to time and my cats yowl at him, too.

We currently have an adorable stray showing up on our patio, and my two cats go crazy trying to get at him to show him who’s boss. You’d think after thirteen or some years as indoor cats, my boys would have mastered the concept of “a pane of glass”, but they continue to heartily throw themselves at the intruder, only to be stymied by the invisible force of the glass…Every. Single. Time.

Tommy, just keep on being Mister Nice Guy who is uber-friendly. And keep on with the aloha shirts.

Nothing fazes Tommy!

We’ve had a strange cat hanging around lately. It’s around after dark when my indoor/outdoor girls are in. It must hang around the front door overnight. When I let my cats out in the morning, Niko (who looks like Puck) is like Lupin investigating strange smells, but going out anyway. Lily (who looks a bit like Beatrix) goes “all Elvis” and hisses at the doorway, yowls, then runs back down the hall to safety.

Aaaw, you went away from the mailman?

Elvis is gonna have a nervous breakdown if he doesn’t learn to chill!
