There’s a difference between “negotiating” a price and just paying the lowest price among competitors. I might not be able to get you to lower your price, but I can buy an equal product from someone else that is cheaper! Just ask the VA. I’m a 100% disabled veteran and we get what costs the least. The only time we get what you would call a name brand is if they’re the only ones making it. Right now, I’m on 17 different medicines! But they’ve kept me going so far and I’ve made it to 75 years old!

The Republicans added to one of the bills that the US govt could not negotiate prices with the Big Pharma some years ago.
