Of course it is. What use is the knowledge of pulleys if not to improve one quality of life?

Martin is thinking it’s pretty much a perfect use of the knowledge acquired at Pulley Club.

He’s just getting in practice for the traction he’ll need when he falls out of that cat’s cradle.

What better use could there be?

If it were me, I would add a few more, but the system must evolve naturally.

Martin deals with his hangups in his own way.

I’m a little worried about where that spare pulley on the porch floor was meant to go.

Something around here may not be pulling its weight.

    Or pulleying it.

    Speaking of pulleys…

well, OK, not speaking of pulleys at all…

    but I didn’t have a good lead-in:

Thank you to those who liked my poem yesterday!

Marietta cold put a hitch in Martin’s display, since Martin chose not to add a safety hitche to his cleat. He will find out why this is often called a block and fall. It will be rove to his disadvantage.

That’s one way to learn how to pull some strings.

If she’d loosen up, she’d really find out what he can do with pulleys.

The first rule is you don’t talk about what you’ve learned at the Pulley Club.

It’s a pulley of an idea. He tried the Block and Tackle club. He kept fumbling the ball.

Mildred still confuses the Pulley Club with the Freemasons.

Oh man, if we could only post pics, there would be dozens of them today. (posting links is no fun)

    @LAST ROSE OF SUMMER:

But, you CAN still post pictures here, pictures which will show fully on the screen without having to click on a link.

About having photos showing up here…

A fellow going by the name of NeilWick here in GoComics built a couple of widgets that are available. One is for opening up photos and hot-links that are posted here. I (and many others) use this all the time – you have to re-load the photos if you refresh the web-page, but it does work and works well (if the hot-links are correctly posted). I can see all of bbear’s Photobucket photos, right here, right on-line, no clicking here and there, it’s all in one place right under his comment(s). Same thing with anything coming out of YouTube, you get what you used to see “in the old world”, you see the YouTube box right here and you click on it and it plays right there, right there..

There is also a Bookmarklet*/widget for Reply en-mass, and the other is to copy the actual comic for storage elsewhere (say, on your hard-drive). Here’s the link:

Give it a try, you will be more than happy with the results!
