    Ol’ Teddy’s gaming ways would certainly be less appreciated these days. He certainly was admired for it at the time, though….

    Were the books dictated, or written by Roosevelt in long-hand, then set to type? Did he have a ghost writer, or solely an editor? Did he write any of the books as “tell-alls” about politics and the presidency? How much money did he make from them? These days, if a top political figure writes a political insider book, he might make millions. A president writing such a book makes tens of millions. Heck, write one or two hit songs, and a composer is set for life with immediate sales and future royalties. And yet Mark Twain struggled greatly to gain copyright protection for his books in Europe.

    Brian, typo in the fourth panel — should be mislead.

    The opposite of the normal (mis)use of lead as the past tense.
