I work from home also and am self-employed. I used to go out for lunch every Friday on my own – I told my husband "The office decided we should eat lunch out “together” on Fridays." One year I put up a small Christmas tree in our home office decorated with office supplies – “The office decided we should have a tree this year.” And so on.
In addition my husband and I have a business together which is also run from the same office. We have an annual office party – we go to a restaurant that we would not otherwise pay that much to eat out.
