I had finnish neighbors who hated the oak tree on their property because the leaves did not compost at all. It managed to produce acorns once before they cut it down, a rare occurrence at 63N, and I salvaged two seedlings which are still alive at my summer house. The leaves are persistent.
Whats this?!? Two grandchildren who thought of what Gramma would like, not whats the cheapest thing I can get her(leaves were thoughtful, albeit cheap)
