My family moved from CA to IL in 1957. One thing I liked about it was having Washington and Lincoln both as school holidays. The catchall day is a cheat. My parents came to their senses in 1963 and we returned to CA. No more snow or humidity. The Bay Area only started, sort of, having seasons about 10 years ago. Only summer and not summer so far.
I thought back in the day Liddy Dole and Hillary Clinton should have teamed up. Flipped a coin to see what party to be since Liddy was Dem and changed to GOP and Hillary was GOP and changed to Dem. Or keep them one each …..
