They are floating because he hasn’t discovered gravity yet, it will be their downfall.

Just like a hundred years ago, based on photos and films, people anxiously awaited seeing this thing called colour. When the British Redcoats advanced, it was hard to tell.

Who are the ghosts?

Gravity is what holds us all down. We could use less of it, IMO.

Newton discovered that the force that holds us to the Earth and the force that keeps the plants in their orbits is the same force. Before him, these were thought to be unrelated phenomena.

Reminiscent of this Golden Oldie:
