Ordinary Basil. Basil and Louise were dazzled by the lights of the Masivodious Desert as the six-legged frogs emerged from underground. But the fun came to an abrupt end when a gigantic frog burst through, sending Basil tumbling down into the blinding shaft of light. "I... I... don't believe it..." Louise gasped in amazement as she peered over the edge of the crevasse. There, far below the desert floor, was a vast cavern. As her eyes adjusted to the light, Louise could see Basil had landed safely... in the branch of a tree! "How can a tree be growing underground?" she wondered, trying to make sense of the unusual sight. But figuring out such a mystery would have to wait for another time. Getting Basil out of there was the immediate problem to be dealt with. Louise knew she'd need help and quickly turned to call her mighty pet pteranodon, Beatrice. Meanwhile, the grand city of Helios floated in the clouds hundreds of miles away, heading toward the mysterious lights. Among those watching
