Ordinary Basil. To escape the Odian palace, Basil and Louise scaled a wall of stone pillars. When they reached the entrance of the passageway, it was blocked by thick iron bars. "This doesn't make sense," Louise cried out. "We can slip through these." "But THEY can't," Basil said, wide-eyed. They stood motionless in fear and fascination. "Well, I'm fresh out of ideas," Louise stammered. "Now... what?" "Up there!" Basil announced excitedly. "It's a long way to go, but there's another gate!" But this new tunnel presented more than just a treacherous climb. "How are we going to get past THEM?" Basil asked. "Quietly," Louise whispered. "Very quietly." Meanwhile, in the great city of Helios, a jail cell door creaked open slowly. "Come along now, Dr. Von Rottweil," ordered the prison guard. "They're ready to begin your trial." "Ready?" replied the malevolent dictator with a smirk. "I truly doubt zat..."
