Oedipus complex for 200 – Things that make you go around? No, huh? How about things that make you need to do laundry (the blood on your robes from gouging out your eyes)? Hmm … Not sure what else – maybe I need more coffee this morning … Thought about one-eyed, but pretty sure he gouged both – That’s all I got

Sophocle’s three Oedipus plays are called “The Oedipus Cycle”, but I like Sheik Yerbouti’s connection.

How about.. if your apartment building takes on the appearance of a washing machine, the tenants are metaphorically living in the chamber where the clothes would go. I’d suggest like the womb.

Or maybe it’s a TARDIS, and the Doctor is still having trouble with that chameleon circuit?

Also, for the Napoleonic building to be accurate, the floors would need to be 5½ feet tall, rather than the typical 8.

According to classical psychoanalytic theory, the complex appears during the so-called “oedipal phase” of libidinal and ego development; i.e. between the ages of three and five, though oedipal manifestations may be detected earlier.

Napoleon wasn’t really shorter than average for his time. The French inch was longer than the British Imperial inch.

The God Complex has at least five more stories than the Napoleon complex.
