    I believe that Paul Krugman said they’re vampires: NYT – “Zombies, Vampires and Republicans” https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/19/opinion/republican-health-care-bill-tax-cuts.html

    WAIVING DEMOCRACY’S RULES – {a limerick}

    Repugnantans misbehave:

    Democracy’s rules they waive,

    by {1} Election-distortions

    and {2} Procedural contortions

    like Healthcare by secret conclave.

    All is mayhemic

    A HISTORY UNKIND - {a rhyme and a coda}

    The fates assigned a history designed

    such that America declined and fell behind.

    Her culture unwound ’til America found

    herself in a bind of the Trumpian kind.

    … Coda:

    Whenever a nation’s denizens brawl,

    they cripple themselves, – and then they crawl

    to pols who promise but don’t help at all.

    Thus does a culture create its own pall.

    “IPSE DIXIT”, BUT ‘TISN’T TRUE – {rhyme and coda}

    “He himSelf has said it”

    {in Latin it’s “ipse dixit”},

    but au contraire, – instead it

    ’snot true that “I can fix it”,

    as President Trump declaims.

    EVERY durn’ thing he MAIMS.

    … Coda:

    Trump is an ANTI-Midas; -

    - the Gold he’s promised is denied us.

    How about a couple comics rebuking leftist wack jobs that are tweeting things like “hunt republicans” after the recent shooting – after all isn’t this the forum to continue that “bipartisan unitiy” line – oh wait, the cameras are off so i guess it is back to name calling and finger pointing.

    Hmmm. I have yet to see any “hunt Republicans” tweets. I have yet to see any letters to the editor, or ANY conversations among my liberal friends that even HINT at violence. But I HAVE heard people in my “Christian” church say we should be white only, with all the nastiness they can muster.Yet Alex Jones, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham (Is she REALLY up for press spokesman?) et. al. have carte blanche from Faux News to spew vitriol and hatred? When are YOU going to admit that the RIGHT has been inciting violence for YEARS, but when Liberals do it it’s something we ain’t never seen before?Not OUR fault! It was just some deranged individual who can’t tell reality from fiction. Yeah, the fiction YOU’VE been spewing for years!

    Sadly, this comic is too damn true…. and unfortunately…. the general public, by-and-large will just accept getting shafted with this new version of “health care”. I am not saying Obamacare was anything to write home about by any means…. but this is going to make it far worse. We need universal health care for all! No more of this bull where a person’s job or lack of job determines health care.

    All that the republicans want is more money for rich people, even if they have to cut the health care plan for the poor. How evil is that?

    Trump himself said (but didn’t mean) that the House version was “mean, mean, mean.” (He doesn’t know many words so forgive him for repeating himself.)

    PMAERZ, how about if you rebuke Repubs in GA that are putting out commercials that falsely claim all Dems cheered after the VA shooting and that all Dems supported Kathy Griffin’s vile post? There were condemnations from Dems and progressives right along with the condemnations from the Repubs. What did the Repubs say about Palin’s gun sights after the Giffords shooting? NOTHING – no actions taken to control guns except to block legislation to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. Trump invited Nugent to the White House after machine gun-wielding Nugent proclaimed on stage “Obama, he’s a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch.”

    .Your claim about some lone commenters saying “hunt Republicans” may be true – there are plenty of disgusting comments made on message boards from every part of the political spectrum. But you need to take a look at the actions of right-wingers in office and with high profiles before you condemn lone idiots that crave attention.

    Not all Republicans are racist bigots. But, I venture that most racist bigots are Republicans.
