I have a bed pan story for you: when my father remarried two years after my mother’s passing, part of my summer chores was to find everything in his house to sort, keep, sell, or whatever. Among the items in the eaves was my grandfather’s old metal bed pan. No one wanted it so it went into the yard sale pile. Dad was surprised at the yard sale a few weeks later when a beaming young couple selected the bed pan. As they were leaving she was overheard saying that it would be a perfect soup tureen.
BB, apologies that Oliver did not win the North Jersey Regional Science Fair so long ago. Although it nearly transported the hosting high school to a world far away, we simply could not award the prize without him being present. The letter is still cherished.
It’s amazing that Sam the Lion managed to find that tiny spark of humanity that was still glowing deeply inside Steve Dallas,A.K.A. “Sith Lord Sexypants”, and was able to stoke it back to life!
