Awww. So many feels. Why do I have a sneaking suspicion this ;or something very nearly like it) happened with The Man and The Woman?

The different reactions of Pucky and Elvis in the last panel is hilarious.

“You are a weird spaceship.” I love that line! I assume it came from real life. (If not, I’m still giving the Man credit for it).

And the cat faces in the last panel!

And the Woman’s face from the third panel to the fourth!

And poor Elvis! Don’t the People know what time it is? Lie still, for Cat’s sake!

(Thank you, Georgia, this behind-the-scenes extra is wonderful).

Little bit jealous there, Elvis? Maybe you should try being cute like the People. :3

At least Pucky’s enjoying the moment!

It’s just past 10pm here and I have made popcorn and nuked a chicken breast for my consort, and am sitting at my laptop reading my new favorite addiction over a frozen Manhattan. And Megan, the Tuxedo from a different planet, jumped up on the kitchen table and is now staring at me. She wants to go to sleep, and probably will, right here within arms reach. The man commiserating with the woman, the cats offering their companionship and comfort. The Goddess is smiling, Georgia…

I see Elvis picked up on the tiny person comment and isn’t happy. At first I thought he was upset because he was trying to sleep. But really seems the tiny person is what got him.

Did the man just move ? Elvis has a right to be furious! Also, I love Pucky in the last panel – always a romantic!

The guesses are right—This did indeed come straight from real life! Though it was from my first pregnancy, not the second. I was six days overdue with the Boy (currently the first Baby, in the strip!) and whew, those were the longest six days of my life. (And that is not very long to be overdue! By far! My Mom was a month overdue in 1981. Her due date was Halloween, and I was born November 28th!! Still, though…My six days felt long to me, haha). This was a very silly, comforting thing late night when it was said, and I thought it might be sweet to include it this time around. I hope you enjoy it!

Not only are they keeping Elvis awake, but they are threatening him with another tiny person. Isn’t one enough?

In Elvis’s defense – this is so Siamese. When I was growing up with them, you went to bed, assumed a sleep position and they then draped themselves over you. After that point you were Not. To. Move. All. Night. Were you to forget the Prime Directive (do not disturb the sleeping cat) then huffy cat stomping followed.

Good morning and happy Friday/Friesday/TGIF to all orbsters and orbabies. Paul continues to recover from his surgery and slept well last night. Thanks to everyone for their kind wishes. Hugs, bumps and boops to all.

Once Moose is down and out for the count, not much will bother him. If I have to move him, like last night when he was draped over my laptop and it went nuts when he touched the fingerpad, it’s like moving a sack of wet noodles.

“Weird spaceship” FTW! Wish I’d thought of that when I was at that stage. I’d gained 56 lbs. (OK, I did start out 10 lbs. underweight, but still…) & one day I said to my then-hubby, “I feel like I’m getting as big as a house…waitaminnit, I AM a house!” He cracked up.

Layla, Countess of Waller, the pickiest eater in the universe, just discovered she likes homemade human people bread, toasted, with butter. She followed that with leaping to the cat tree and doing her “pole dance” with the upright of said furniture. Or should I say furr-niture? It’s due to be vacuumed.

The baby should be turning into a toddler any day now. Can’t wait for the chart. On a related note 3 years ago today was a happy day in the BCN universe, it was the first new BCN in 2 and half months after Georgia’s maternity leave for the baby girl.

Cadet? Hardly. More like Medical Officer, First Mat and Admiral, all rolled into one… 8^)

And I think that the use of “little woman” is deprecated in these parts….. 8^(

Too sweet! But think of it; if the Woman were to go swimming, she would be more of a submarine than a spaceship. I love when Georgia gives us these little glimpses into her real life moments. <3 And I have to say, Elvis’s response to all this late night awakeness is priceless. When my hubby and I stay up late talking, this is very much the response we get from our Hemingway.

I think Elvis is miffed because he was resting for the 2 AM Running of the Cats.

OK. I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m SO sorry!!!! I’m posting this here, because I really really NEED to get this out, or stop reading for a week or so. And, I LOVE reading this. I LOVE reading the comments! Heck, while while I “lurk” more than anything, I love the commenters! Which is why I’m hiding my comment in yesterday’s post….When I was 41 weeks pregnant, all seemed well. My Garrett Reece was too small, though, and no one knew. Small, strong, and in a uterus that was “normal sized”. He did the wrong tumble and jump, and died. Umbilical strangulation. I delivered him vaginally, knowing he was dead. After that, both children I currently am blessed with never went that far. And, both almost died. Both were premie size. One umbilical prolapse during delivery. One stopped growing even earlier than her siblings. Then she almost died at 5 days, spinal meningitis. The other was in hospital a month later, at 3. And now I’m raising them alone. Their dad broke, and does what he can, but it’s not much. And both are special needs, one autistic and brilliant, one with scars of her lifes challenges, and only 7. And, it’s just, nothing was ever, ever, ever “OK”. There was never support that I see and hear others refer to. Their dad was undignosed autisic, and anxiety now and depression. By the time we were actually raising a miracle, he was more “gone” than anyone would believe. My family is mostly better for being absent. And, I can never, ever, hear or read of “past due” mom’s without huge fear. Logic doesn’t help here. There were absolutely no clues to my son’s peril, and I was receiving standard, but very good, care. .I’m so so so sorry. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun. I just, had to get this out. If anyone reads this, I’m sorry
