I used to work with a guy who would rant about dogs, something like, “I don’t see how anybody can like filthy dogs! They roll around in putrid stuff, they leave their [mess] everywhere, they shed fur all the time, they vomit, they stink…” etc, etc. He was generally not a nice person.

Dogs are pack animals. They should never be left outside in isolation and misery. Don’t have a dog if you’re going to mistreat it. :’-(
