Yesterday I followed a discussion between some Eastern Europeans citizens. It was about whether or not Serbia should become a member of the EU. I considered the arguments from both sides to be valid, but also never entirely correct. Moreover, when politicians would make some effort to understand each other’s fears, they would get quite easy to a solution. But than, politicians would have to put their egos aside and work together. Witch is impossible for politicians (all over the world), because the entire “becoming the boss”-thing is focused on their egos. Guess what egocentric rulers do to a country, … they’re raiding that country.

As if atheism wasn’t also a faith, religion and belief structure.

This could be in front of the D.C. capitol buildings, on any tv news hour, in any state legislature. It’s an all-purpose statement.

“Don’t trust the angels you meet along the way/Who make it clear that Heaven’s here/And everything will be okay. Just trust the angels who tell you in the night/There’s Hell on Earth, but it’s worth the fight.”

The truth? YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! Also, you can’t get there from here… at least not nowadays.

If you want to know about the law, consult an attorney. If you want to know about the truth, ask a philosopher.

Ultimate Truth just might be the circular beltway beyond and unto which all four travel. (In which case, it is something than can only be known and humbly approached, not had or possessed apart from the “have nots” which is the common claim of all ideologues, hard-core empiricists and bogus transcendental cultists.)

Looks like some really inventive poet will have to update Dante’s “Inferno” to include this as punishment for Politicians.

It is up to every one of us to discern who is reliable. And it is getting harder every day.

No, those are Republicans.

There are facts and then there are informed opinions and then there are uninformed opinions and then beliefs. It’s generally wise to ignore the last two categories, at least when trying to figure out what’s what. And when the facts are at all complicated (and laws are complicated) it’s sometimes best to either add the second category to the “ignore” group and work it out for yourself (probably making your opinion part of the “uninformed” for everyone else) or do what I generally do and try to find a few cogent but different  informed opinions to start from and let them fight it out.

What kind of knucklehead put Kansas City in two states at the same time? Is this some kind of Quantum joke? Must have been that clown Schrodinger, and that damn cat, again. Can both Kansas Cities have a parade? And at the same time?

Priests as well as pundits.

The lady going SE is out of step with the others. Of course, in a way, they’re all out of step with each other.

How can they each be casting a long shadow in front of them in the direction that they are walking?
