I was born in the year of the Tiger and I agree with Hobbes: if you have to run to get there, I’m not going.

Calvin, this is Hobbes—not Andy Capp!! He pulls his weight around the household—namely, occupying your time and keeping you out of your parents’ hair. He’s also your inspirational muse.

So, he’s entitled to just “lie around” and recharge his own batteries from time to time.

Hobbes’ lifestyle is one I can get behind!

Nobody wins the Rat Race.

Calvin, just to help you here, the goal posts will always move quicker than you can.

This reminds me of the “Great Resignation” that occurred as a result of the 2019 Pandemic. It seems a lot of folks realized life was too short to waste it.

We are racing, trying to outrun the trials of the past and the threats of the future. It might be better to be a tiger.

I have been retired now for several years. Looking back, most of the stuff that would get everyone’s knickers tied in a knot was BS. Particularly “Spreadsheets? Spreadsheets!, We don’t need no Stinking Spreadsheets!!!” – A riff from the “Treasure of Sierra Madre”

You tell him, Hobbes! Though that should be “whom,” not “who.”

You always have to stay busy, because otherwise you’re lazy. And that’s bad, because….
