He was making a Schrödinger’s box. All that’s left is a flask of poison, and a radioactive source connected to a Geiger counter.

(February 23, 2012) (I haven’t really tried to figure out how to get links past the nanny bot, it complains about everything, even a backslash! I don’t get what issue this site has with them anyway)

Speaking of cats…The plastic ring around my bottle of juice came off and fell to the floor. Instant new toy!! It was just a ring from the bottle top. Go fig. The expensive stuffed toy sits in a corner gathering dust.

Why does it have to be technology? Fleshy could be making art. I think it’s a lovely mobile! :)

After we humans wipe ourselves out, my money’s on either squirrels or raccoons to replace us as the next intelligent, tool-using species on Earth. We’ve been training them with food rewards to solve ever-more-complicated puzzles, and simple evolutionary theory says that the ones who are good at it will survive, thrive, and reproduce. Right now, my money’s on the cōōns, because they’ve got a head start in the opposable-thumb department, but maybe the arboreal capacities of the tree rats will offset it. Sadly, I won’t be around to see how it all turns out.

Just dug up an old joke…

An old guy goes to the doctor, during the office visit, a nurse brings in a Labrador Retriever, the dog sniffs the guy all over, up and down. Dog leaves. Next, the nurse brings in a huge tomcat, the cat sits next to the guy and looks him up and down for 5 minutes, nurse then removes the cat.

As the guy is leaving, the secretary hands him his bill. $1400 bucks. Guy is shocked. “What’s this?” he says. “For what?”

She replies “Well, You had an office visit, including a cat scan and full Lab work.”
