That looks like a real criminal and there are probably real victims. So in NYC, there probably is no bond to speak of. Especially if he’s illegal with gang tattoos.

Maybe he stole a purse, with money in it off of somebody’s chair, but he got caught before he could get away, so he’s defending it as a victimless crime.

But he won’t get away with it. That purse couldn’t have had more than a hundred million dollars in it.

You can’t rob banks. But it’s okay to defraud banks.

Just remember that in the US, even comparing cases that are exactly the same, only is one defendant is Black, the Black one will get prison time when the White one gets probation.

And in ten days, the judge will say, “it’s still too high? Take two more weeks to give us a reduced bond of one million.”

And TRUMP IS STILL OUT THERE COMMITTING CRIMES! Why isn’t he locked up, or at least hamstringed, by the courts?

It’s definitely a two-tier system: one for Donald and his mucky-muck GOP leaders, and one for the rest of us. The “conservative” judges, especially, have their black-robed fingers on the scale.

A touch of reality… the presiding judge has nothing to do with the bond amount… the NY Court of Appeals (nonpartisan and appointed by Gov Horchul (D) and former Gov Cuomo (D), – Ballotpedia & Wikipedia

    trump committed crimes.

    Falsification of business records

    Issuing fabricated financial statements

    Insurance Fraud

    Conspiracy

    Crimes.

Why do trump’s apologists keep trying to make it ok by calling his crimes victimless crimes, and insisting trump, that arrogant, entitled, as$hole, should face no persecution?

And still the MAGA creeps bleat “No harm no foul” to blithely wave away all the frauds their MAGA Messiah has committed over many decades.

As a reminder, aside from the billions milked from the Saudis by Jared and Pompeo while being officials of the government, you can Pick a Fraud, any Fraud:

Bank Fraud, Business Fraud, Tax Fraud, Insurance Fraud, Documents Fraud, Real Estate Fraud, Wire Fraud, Election Fraud, Mail Fraud… oh yeah, and there are plenty more Mafia-style tidbits of the more “meat and potatoes” varieties that merit trial in CRIMINAL cases.

    1. Criminals file for bond reductions all the time, and many are granted; 2. Maybe you should have committed your crime in one of those “no case bond required” jurisdictions.

I’m waiting for the magat cult to issue a collective apology to Bill Clinton, who cheated on his wife and lied about it.

I mean, trump must feel really bad for Bill, who, unlike trump, didn’t hire the woman he cheated with, and then pay her not to talk.
