That looks like a real criminal and there are probably real victims. So in NYC, there probably is no bond to speak of. Especially if he’s illegal with gang tattoos.

Maybe he stole a purse, with money in it off of somebody’s chair, but he got caught before he could get away, so he’s defending it as a victimless crime.

But he won’t get away with it. That purse couldn’t have had more than a hundred million dollars in it.

You can’t rob banks. But it’s okay to defraud banks.

Just remember that in the US, even comparing cases that are exactly the same, only is one defendant is Black, the Black one will get prison time when the White one gets probation.
