So by Mike’s logic if I go into politics nothing I ever do is a criminal act?

Yes, and is that not a problem? Democracy kinda depends on voters and the respect of laws. Depending on the whims of a loser like trump seems rather dangerous.

Lester, Trump should have stayed out of politics and his conman game would have kept going. Too bad. How much have you donated? Diapers are not cheap.

MAGAt Lester actually believes His Messiah is above the law and should never, ever be held accountable.

It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It.

    .

I wonder if Lester even knows why Michael Cohen went to prison.

Don’t you know that if the president does it, it is not illegal? Worked for Nixon didn’t it? It’s in front of the Supreme Court tomorrow.

With oral arguments starting today in Trump’s NYC hush money trial, Trump might well end up with at least some convictions. That’s my hope anyway. If Trump is convicted in NYC (and perhaps in later cases in GA and DC), there is a good chance that Trump will get house arrest as opposed to federal prison. If such be the case, his oversized ego would likely keep him in the race. But independent swing voters (who essentially do the deciding in general elections) might be reluctant to vote for a convicted felon. But for now, my eye will be on the NYC court and how the trials go.

We jail criminals not political opponents. The crimes of Trump happened before and after his stint in office. And there were plenty of crimes!

Wrong “we.” Trump has threatened for years to lock up his enemies, and continues to do so. The other is the judicial system, and it is merely considering it with a trial by jury. Huge difference.

Clearly Dana Summers and Mike have not noticed that OUR president is not prosecuting our FORMER president. A grand jury decided that the cases had merit and so the State of NY and the Federal system are PROsecuting the cases, as best as they can given the noise and lies that the defendant constantly spews, and I truly feel for the juror that was concerned for her safety, when she withdrew from the current trial. And this defendant is the one who was leading his minions in chanting “Lock her up!” when he decided that HE was judge and jury with anything she had “done” (despite the fact that exhaustive hearings in the senate found no wrongdoing on Ms Clinton’s part) Where Ms Clinton sat and answered questions Honestly and patiently for several days, rather than like a 4 year old child, the way Trump has behaved.

This is happening, because Traitor Trump was too cheap to use his own cash to pay her off. Instead, he had to try to game the system to use political donors money to pay off someone he chose to have an adulterous relationship with. Because, you know, the party of family values. Yeah, sure.

Traitor Trump has plenty of his fellow criminals (and fellow traitors) to attempt to intimidate witnesses and jurors, of course, but those of us who are honest and patriotic hope the legal system does what is designed to do, and an incredibly obvious career criminal is convicted.

The current trial is about events before Orange Jesus became president in 2017. The document trial is post-presidency. The other two relate to his attempts to overthrow the government, which he claims falls within presidential duties.

Election fraud is it possible – oh yes it is and the dems will do all they can to prevent any attempts to stop the fraud. Just the news put it this way.

“Democratic governors are vetoing election integrity legislation passed by Republican-led state legislatures, despite allegations, investigations, and convictions of election fraud occurring across the U.S. Those convictions require proof “beyond a reasonable doubt” that the crime, in fact, occurred.

Over the last few months, Democratic governors in Arizona, North Carolina, and Wisconsin have vetoed legislation that Republican-led state legislatures passed to help secure elections, arguing that their concerns are unfounded or their solutions unnecessary. However, there have been recent election fraud investigations and convictions in those states that led to the passing of the legislation.

Earlier this month, Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) vetoed bills that would respectively, prohibit people convicted of ballot abuse from holding elected office and prevent county recorders from sending voter registration cards to most residents who have out-of-state mailing addresses."

I lived in Arizona for nine years and Katie is and always has and always has been a joke. She is incapable of leading from the middle, she should call her predecessor for advice on how to balance her agenda for the good of the people of Arizona.

We’re doing this because the man committed crimes.

It’s not the “political opponents” doing it Mike, it’s the Justice system. Are you under the mistaken impression that there are nothing but Democrats running the courts?

Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo is a former senior Justice Department official for the Biden Administration. How do you go from working for the defendants opponent (Biden) to prosecuting Donald Trump?

Matthew Colangelo became Acting Associate Attorney General on January 20, 2021.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Colangelo served in the New York Attorney General’s Office as the Chief Counsel for Federal Initiatives and as Executive Deputy Attorney General for Social Justice. He has been a Distinguished Lecturer at the Georgetown University Law Center, and served in the Obama administration as a Deputy Assistant to President Obama and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff to Department of Labor Secretary Tom Perez for three years, and as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Department of Justice.

Mr. Colangelo holds a J.D. from Harvard University.

Just so everyone is clear, the DOJ works for the American people, not the president. Same with FBI. This is why Orange Jesus cleaned house when he was elected: the head of each organization would not swear allegiance to Lord Trump. Trump looked at the presidency as if he was head of a crime family. Read the book.
