Sadly, this the reaction of most on the Left (and the Right, honestly). Someone performs a simple act of kindness, and the first reaction is " What’s his angle?".
This goes with my own political philosophy; We choose our politics based on our views of the other choices. Democrats don’t trust the Conservative Right. Republicans don’t trust the Liberal Left. Me? I’m a Libertarian. We don’t trust anybody.
