As I’ve repeatedly said, I’ve never grown up with dogs. So I can unrelate.
Sleeping is the greatest experience of life! I try to cram as many hours of sleep into every day as I possibly can.
That one year/seven year thing isn’t true. “They” have come up with some other formula to determine the relationship for human to dog age.

Dogs are born knowing the Secrets of Life, so they don’t need to hang around as long as humans. Some of us never catch on, so we have to keep trying.

Meaning, an average human of 98 has had their heart broken 7 times watching their beloved pet dogs die. Not fair!
Been there, we lost one 2-years-age age 11 cancer of the liver. Part of what dogs is lay around and sleep, ours when mamma and daddy leave they get depressed.
