Great toon! This bloodbath lie from the media and their leftist lemmings once again exemplifies the lack of trust and credibility from their so-called reporting.
When you want more stupid, just come over to Allie. He’s competing for the PAYNEFULLY STUPID award.
They are STILL trying to make us think he didn’t say what he said.
Wonder how much money the trolls sent out on this iteration of “T**** said, blather, media quotes T**** and they claim he didn’t”. How many times does he get to go to that same identical well?
What is this, the fifteenth or sixteenth iteration of “T blather, outrageous remark, more blather” and then they deny? It’s constant!
Eric has a valid point. The MSM, AKA “FAKE NEWS”, is on its last legs. Legacy media, the deep state sycophants, are doomed to extinction. The Soros mouthpieces and minions, with their incoherent jabberings are, and have, lost the trust of the “deplorables”. .
With all the idiots out there barging into everything from the DMV to public school bus garages with cameras and claiming: "I am an “independent journalist working on a story and thus protected under the First Amendment. You cannot trespass me. No, I don’t need a press pass. No, I don’t have to tell you my name. No, I don’t need an appointment. No, I don’t need to tell you anything. Leave me alone.” It’s no wonder real news has taken a hit.
I agree with Mr Allie. Right wing media such as Bannon, OAN, Fox, Newsmax, Daily Wire, Parler, Blaze Dailywire, National Review, American Spectator spread false info on a daily, if not hourly basis.
“… One area in which this plays out is in perceptions of why errors occur in news stories. Republicans overall are more likely to think that mistakes happen because of ill will. Six-in-ten Republicans and Republican-leaning independents cite a desire to mislead audiences as a major reason why significant mistakes make their way into news stories, compared with about a third of Democrats (32%) who feel this way. And within the GOP, this view is especially prevalent among Republicans who strongly approve of the job that Trump is doing as president.
But just because Republicans consistently express far more negative sentiments toward the news media does not mean that Democrats are always singing the media’s praises. For example, Democrats – like Republicans – are more likely to say that news outlets do not care about the people they report on than say they do care.
There also are places where the two parties see more eye to eye. Majorities of both parties think it is beneficial for society to be skeptical of the news media, large portions think that confidence in the institution can increase, and they generally agree on the qualities that are important in choosing news sources. …" — pewresearch org journalism 2020 08 31 americans-see-skepticism-of-news-media-as-healthy-say-public-trust-in-the-institution-can-improve
When you can’t rationalize what’s been reported, you go after the reporter. And in all the best con jobs the victim is told not to believe what they see and here.
‘Asked in an open-ended format what they most like about Donald Trump, about a quarter of Americans (23%) mention Trump’s approach and personality, saying he “keeps his promises” or “tells it like it is.” …
And Trump’s personality ranks as the most common response to an open-ended question about concerns people have about him. Here, too, about a quarter of Americans (24%) mention aspects of his personality or conduct – in this case, frequently mentioning Trump’s temperament or saying that he has a tendency to speak “off the cuff.”
To be sure, in this separate survey conducted Aug. 8-21 online among 4,971 adults, mentions of Trump’s personality characteristics in positive terms are far more common among the 36% of Americans who approve of Trump’s job performance than among the 63% who do not. Mentions of his personality as cause for concern are more common among those who disapprove.’

During the nullification crisis of 1832-3, Vice-President John Calhoun supported the supposed right of South Carolina to ignore, and thus “nullify” federal tariff laws. President Jackson was determined that the federal tariff law be enforced. The President is said to have commented that he considered his Vice-President’s opinion in the matter to be treasonous, and that he would be willing to hang Vice-President Calhoun for treason if that became necessary to drive that point home.
Arguably, the presumptive Republican nominee made his recent “bloodbath” comment with regard to the U. S. auto industry, though his typical disjointed foray into non-sequitur land left his meaning somewhat ambiguous.
One of my college history professors, Conrad Engelder, may he rest in peace, once made a comment that I think applies here, in defense of the media. Discussing nullification crisis, above, Prof. Engelder noted that anytime Andrew Jackson talked about hanging someone, that person better listen up, referencing the Arbuthnot and Ambrister incident which occurred in 1818 during the First Seminole War.
American General Andrew Jackson invaded Spanish Florida and without authority from President Monroe, captured and executed, by hanging, Alexander George Arbuthnot and Robert C. Ambrister, two British citizens charged with aiding Seminole and Creek Indians against the United States.
In light of January 6th, his expressed desire to shoot protesters, and his wink and nod to the Proud Boys, et al., when the presumptive Republican nominee uses the term “bloodbath”, we better “listen up”.
Only a fool would get their news from one source. Pity the Fox viewer who never goes beyond that rightwing echo chamber. I use multiple news sources, print, broadcast, and international, to arrive at my conclusions. The paranoid among us would say that all these sources are members of a cabal, and working together. If they honestly believe that, there is no point in debating them. To those who still practice critical thinking, I remind them that news organizations are in competition with one another. If more than one source offers up the same conclusions, there is more veracity.
Finally, Trump was using “bloodbath” to threaten political violence. No number of apologists posting here or those drawing mediocre political cartoons will change that.
The “Trust and credibility” of the media is in the presentation live and recorded for all to see and determine for themselves. The absence of any credibility, and not worthy of any trust lies with those who tell everyone there are “alternative facts”, and “very fine people on both sides”. and the Orwellian “Just remember: What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening.”
So that’s what he meant by bloodbath………..pink slips! Project 2025 would see 20,000 govt employees fired overnight to be replaced with a Heritage Foundation pre-approved right-wing stooges. Then they’ll do the same with Corporate Media.
as always, our right wing brethren desperately look for scapegoats every time trump says something stupid. of course, when you spend all your time fretting about grievances, pretty much everybody looks like a scapegoat…
Is the apparent lack trust and credibility of the media because of their reporting, or is it because of a decades-long campaign by certain types of groups to undermine the trust and credibility of legitimate media to cover their own propaganda attempts and convey a certain false equivalence when their really is none?
Yes the media ignores Trumps demetia and and calls Bidens stutter mental. Hey, wasn’t it Trump who said there would be a blood bath? Good pretzel logic here.
It is almost as low as Trump’ credibility. Sadly there are people willing to wallow in that mud trough with him and perhaps even buy shoes or a bible from him.
