Eventually, I hope that, with the help of Democrats, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries will become Speaker on a pledge to get aid to Ukraine, and then actually get some governance done to retain some semblance of decency against the anti-American splinter sect.

This republican congress should just give up and admit that they’re never going to learn how to govern. Then just hand the gavel to Hakeem Jeffries so the real work of congress can get started.

My husband and I have thought and discussed it, trying to fathom the radicalized MAGA mind. (a quote from ‘Little Big Man’ comes to mind: ‘There is this… pain… between my ears, I don’t understand.’)

MAGAs, like most people, are trapped between our fate and our destiny, usually because of forces beyond our control, and the choices we make govern how we control those forces that keep us trapped. Most can’t escape the fate of their race or culture, especially when attacked by a dominant community in control. Destiny, on the other hand, is what you -DO_ with your choices made by grit, courage, and determination to escape the trap.

In the end, we all die, but we can transcend that trapped death if it’s our choice for a cause. Again, a true hero requires courage and defiance – AND the support of their community. Too often, out of fear, the community will desert them, but acclaim the hero if he or she perseveres without them. In the end, a true hero sacrifices for other people…

Which is something that Trump and his criminal, gold and power -seeking conies, could never, ever do.
