We have people who beg at intersections, usually with a sign that says “Will work for Food” or the like. I guy I know told one of them “Hop in! I’ll pay you cash to help me move some stuff on my property.” The guy said “My back… I can’t.”
Here’s a question that came up recently, directed to readers from the UK: what happened to Andy’s pigeons? Has pigeon racing sort of died out over the years? Did the RSPCA get involved?
A lot of people consider Andy Capp to be the British equivalent of Maynard G. Krebs. Does anyone ever notice the similarities between Lucky Luke and Fonzie? I think there’s one comic where Lucky Luke starts a player piano by hitting it, sort of how like Fonzie starts a juke box by hitting it.

Shabbat shalom and chag sameach Pesah, fellow Cappers. May the Moschiach come soon to rid the world of blind hatred, especially anti-Semetism.

Our Mr. Capp is not “terrified” of work!!! “Petrified” is more like it!!!

My friend Dave always said he was too lazy to work, too proud to beg, and too chicken to steal, – so he became a musician!

I’m not afraid, I can watch hard work for hours. Of course I stretch and hydrate beforehand.

mention the word JOB to any of Andy’s companions and they jump out the nearest window and they don’t care what floor they’re on

Q: How scared of work is Andy?
A: He’s standing in a puddle, and it’s not raining.

He’s not afraid of work. He can stand right beside it.
