We were warned in 2020 of our bad foreign policies … and are still feeling the negative effects
“… My very first column as a regular contributor to Foreign Policy ran under the headline “Trump’s Middle East Policy Is Totally Boring.” The point of the piece was not to imbue the White House’s foreign policy with an intellectual framework but rather to show how banal it was. Stripped of all the theatrics and peculiarities associated with President Donald Trump—who had been in office a little over a year—U.S. policy in the Middle East resembled what was once a bipartisan consensus: support for Israel, tough on Iran and others outside America’s coalition of regional partners, and support for those partners regardless of the character of their regimes. …” — foreignpolicy .com /2020 /10 /28 /trumps-middle-east-legacy-is-failure
Do they send all you trumpers a memo of talking points? This is pathetic. Diplomacy and avoiding escalation is what is called for. Iran made a show of force signifying nothing. Let it pass.
Henry, are you offering to go to the middle east and fight yourself or are you just offering that other people’s children should go die for your ability to draw cartoons?
Maybe if trump wins the election, he will copy the plan he used in Afghanistan and invite Iran to come to America so he can surrender to them too, on American soil. That seems to be his ’’thing’’ and he was the first American president to ever do that. Makes republicans proud.
Sounds about right. Remember how Trump had people in the middle east signing peace agreements? I miss those days but I guess Democrats can’t get rich off the Military Industrial complex without wars. Are there any idiots out there that want to pretend Democrats care about peace?
10 am?!? No… Biden doesn’t get up till much later in the day… and then there’s the time on the beach needed… work? Does Biden actually DO work anymore?
Americans need to have a serious discussion on what supporting Israel really costs. 35K (and counting) dead, cities reduced to rubble, countless injured.. starvation. And soon.. possibly Iran /Syria as well
Can’t see how any sane person can defend that. At some point don’t you have to recognize a spoiled brat (read nation) and administer some tough love.
For all of the “experts” about all that Biden is doing wrong, three questions: 1) (as “Sinusjoe” referenced) how did the US military help shoot down all of those missiles and drones if Biden didn’t approve it? 2) if you get your desired response and Israel strikes at Iran, do you really think there would be no response from Iran? And 3) Or, is that what you really want?
At least you didn’t picture him in an Iranian jet or straddling a drone on its way to Israel. That would have been more your typical style. Biden would of course had his aviator glasses on, you missed that important piece
That’s actually Henry Payne pictured in the cockpit, laughing hysterically at the caption for this cartoon.
Henry: The stuff written on that schedule ain’t funny, it is ridiculous. Like all your cartoons, except more ridiculous than your average. And though one might be tempted to think your average amount of ridiculous ought to be far from easy to surpass, you frequently manage to do so. In this respect your ability as a cartoonist is remarkable.
Look at how useless Bush 2’s revenge on Iraq after going in to Afghanistan, and then abandoning that incursion, was. Too much macho, not enough gray matter.

Biden is desperately trying to prevent an old out Middle East war. MAGATs want one, so that they can blame Biden for it.

No way Biden could handle two items on a daily agenda. Especially without a nap in between.

The problems with your ‘toon Henry, is that there is no way mentally challenged Joe could get that jet into the air. Other than that, spot on.
